Welcome

Ah, Dios, we have begun to gather.
Have you waited for our coming?
Has Spirit anxiously anticipated our arrival?
We sense your welcome here.

We take off our shoes, that we may better understand another's journey,
and because we know this place to be Holy.

You have prepared a table before us,
and now we come
from all over the world
to rest in your house
to sup at your table
To be held in your embrace.

Thank You!

  1. I was intrigued to see the variety of "bread" options for the Communion. Seeing this from World Church reinforces what I shared with my Congregation last month. God isn't as concerned with what we "eat and drink" but rather the "spirit" in which we do it.

    1. The bread option was for the benefit of those who cannot tolerate gluten, but of course your comment is absolutely correct. I believe there was also a water option for those who cannot take grape juice.

Thanks for your observation and comment, Twyla. It is always nice to have a conversation on the blog.
