There are downloadable electronic versions of books for your IPod or devices such as Kindle, etc. but books continue to be published and read, mostly in their old paper form. I have heard of publishers cutting back on the number of books they publish, but over all, books seem to go on rather undisturbed...so far. A bookstore continues to be a place of quiet delight; an oasis one can occasionally steal away to in the midst of the busyness of life.<br /><br />Books have been a great blessing to me and my family. For twenty-three years I made my living selling books, primarily children's books and literature. What a joy!<br /><br />Some day, I suspect, the world may get to the point where books printed on paper are a curiosity item found in museums or attics, but happily, (in most respects), that does not now appear likely in the immediate future.Carmannoreply@blogger.com
