That would involve digging out contact information for those we have lost contact with, finding a place and time for a reunion, then inviting people to come. It would probably require a couple of years to pull that off.

If you would like to see this happen, and want to be part of such an effort, or if you know people who would enjoy that, let us know. We (the CEM staff)do not have time to take this on ourselves, but it would be a wonderful thing to have happen.

CarmanCarmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07686168556846924176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6480403878902135681.post-5304866168639532512010-03-29T12:29:06.990-04:002010-03-29T12:29:06.990-04:00I was never a camper, just a country boy who made ...I was never a camper, just a country boy who made a lot of new friends when I went to high school in 'town'.

Lately I've been wondering what happened to many of those friends I made in those 5 years at high school, because shortly thereafter I started my professional career and my married life and haven't had time to stop and remember those simpler days. So I started to search for them about 2-3 years ago. I've reconnected with 2 of them who were my closest friends, and now we are sharing again and it is as good as it was 50 years ago. This year I've reconnected with another who I will spend time with this summer at his cottage in Muskoka. And just this week, I reconnected with another on email that has yet to grow any further, but I'll keep working on it.

The friendships we forge as teen agers are seldom if ever repeated as adults, maybe it's because we weren't so guarded and possibly as jaded back then as we so often are now. They were the kinds of friendships that survive a lifetime and they are friends who would do anything, if we asked them. That makes me feel good! Life is good, friends are God's gifts to our lives.

Mel MillsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6480403878902135681.post-77163040286224415952010-03-27T10:37:54.472-04:002010-03-27T10:37:54.472-04:00I have a few logs. Also several from Ziontario in the 80's. A camper's reunion sounds like a great idea to me.

David W.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6480403878902135681.post-34044821960061226572010-03-26T11:05:37.851-04:002010-03-26T11:05:37.851-04:00Wow! Wayne Hough changing our camp theme to "Mah Eyes Are Dim" to Lee Pfohl and Roy Castle renaming the director's dorm to the RoyRodLee building. And Lyman Edwards "taking a chance" on me as camp director. And Bill Leney, as a camper no less, doing the Chinese Waiter. So many great memories!
Rod.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6480403878902135681.post-84321361412666832942010-03-26T09:21:23.051-04:002010-03-26T09:21:23.051-04:00I have my log from 1973 Monetville.....it's fu...I have my log from 1973 Monetville.....it's full of autographs from people I have long ago lost touch with ,but wonder about a lot.....especially 2 girls I met from Wales..we were penpals for a few years.
